ACT of CT offers occasional, specialized masterclasses throughout the year for students of all ages. STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS!

Some of ACT of CT’s past Masterclasses have included: 

  • Perfecting the Audition with Tony Award-winner, Lindsay Mendez (CAROUSEL, WICKED, GODSPELL)

  • Audition Prep with Sarah Litzsinger (accomplished Broadway performer, including as the longest-running Belle in Broadway’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST)

  • Raise the Bar! Vocal Performance Bootcamp with Diane Tauser (established New York City vocal instructor and performance coach)

  • Introduction to Writing for the Stage (taught by playwright, Kate Herzlin)

  • Vocal Technique with Matt Farnsworth (vocal coach to multiple Broadway shows)

  • Introduction to Comedy and Improv for Kids (taught by comedian, Christine O’Leary)

  • Performance Coaching with Colleen Fitzpatrick (veteran Broadway performer)

  • Dance Calls (taught by Broadway dancer and actress, Kara Tremel)

Virtual Workshops

ACT of CT is able to coordinate virtual workshops with individual groups. These are class/group workshop opportunities that ACT of CT can schedule individually with your school, class, or organization. Email education@actofct.org for more information!

 

“BACKSTAGE PASS!” VIRTUAL WORKSHOP WITH ACT OF CT!

FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:

This virtual workshop will feature ACT of CT’s special "Backstage Pass!" video which will give students and teachers alike a sneak peek into the process of mounting a professional production. ACT of CT’s Artistic Director, Daniel C. Levine, leads the tour by discussing how ACT of CT creates a musical, as well as sharing interviews with several actors and members of the artistic teams of ACT of CT's past productions, and shows exciting footage of some of these performances. Afterward, students can participate in a live-virtual discussion with a member of ACT of CT's founding or executive team, all Broadway veterans - Katie Diamond (ACT of CT's Executive Director), Daniel C. Levine (ACT of CT's Artistic Director), Bryan Perri (ACT of CT's Resident Music Supervisor), or R. Erin Craig (ACT of CT’s Producing Director).

FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS:

This virtual workshop will feature ACT’s special "Backstage at ACT of CT!" video which will give students and teachers alike a sneak peek into the process of mounting a professional production. Geared specifically towards students from 2nd-5th grade, ACT of CT’s Artistic Director, Daniel C. Levine, leads this fun backstage tour, showing how professional shows are put together, and incorporating some of ACT’s most exciting footage from past performances!  Afterward, students have the option to participate in a live-virtual discussion with a member of ACT of CT's founding or executive team, all Broadway veterans - Katie Diamond (ACT of CT's Executive Director), Daniel C. Levine (ACT of CT's Artistic Director), Bryan Perri (ACT of CT's Resident Music Supervisor), or R. Erin Craig (ACT of CT’s Producing Director).
